iClever FM Transmitter Review

Do you own a car that isn’t equipped with an AUX port or Bluetooth capabilities? If so, the iClever FM Transmitter is just for you! It allows you to wirelessly play your favorite music from your phone right out of the speakers in your car.

This is it and here’s how it works. You simply plug the transmitter into any open cigarette lighter socket in your car. Next, you find an empty FM radio station on your car. Then, you make sure the iClever Transmitter is on that exact same station. Finally, you connect your phone via Bluetooth and you’re ready to listen to that special song of yours. Remember, you won’t have to do this every time, only the first time.

Although you can’t tell from the pictures, this transmitter has a few buttons to control it. You turn the knob to change the volume. You click the entire top of it to pause/play your music. If you click and hold the top button, you can change the station that the transmitter will connect to.

If you don’t like those controls, you can use the handy little remote it comes with. Personally, I use the remote because it’s much faster and easier to use. Oh, and did I forget to mention that this device has a microphone built in for talking on the phone?

One last special feature of the iClever FM Transmitter is located under the rubber ring of the volume control knob. This port allows you to insert a 32 GB micro-SD (not included). If you don’t own a phone and would rather upload your songs to a micro-SD, then this would be the way to go.

How does it work?

I was actually quite surprised with how the iClever FM Transmitter performed. It only took my phone around 10 seconds to recognize and connect to the iClever. I did notice that there is a little white noise in the background but this doesn’t bother me one bit because you can’t even hear it when you’re playing your music. For $28 bucks, this is a steal. It’s fast, simple, and you won’t have to drop a couple hundred dollars to have a professional wire Bluetooth into your car.

You can purchase the iClever FM Transmitter on Amazon for $27.99
