If you own the first generation of the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad, this accessory is a must. The Clique made by Henge Docks is the perfect accessory for joining the two together seamlessly.
The first thing I absolutely love about the Clique is the design. It’s made of a strong white plastic. I’m honestly happy this isn’t made of aluminum because the white makes for the perfect combination with the aluminum already on the Apple devices. Although the Clique is made of plastic, when you insert your keyboard and trackpad, it becomes much more sturdy and rugged. In fact, you can hold the Clique with the keyboard and trackpad inside by one end without any sign of bending. It’s as if the two were welded together into one solid bar.

Another awesome feature of the Clique is the two power buttons. There is a slide button/switch for the keyboard because it’s power button is in the middle. The trackpad on the other has the power button on the outside because its power button faces the outside.
That’s not all. As can be seen from the picture above, The Clique has rubber pads on the bottom. They keep the keyboard and trackpad from sliding or moving while on a surface. In my opinion, the rubber pads on the Clique get an even better grip than the ones that already come on your Apple Keyboard and Magic Trackpad. There is even a cutout for the keyboard antenna so you don’t lose any reception while using the Clique.
One last feature of it is the click itself. You can easily insert and remove your keyboard and trackpad because of the great design behind it. There is actually an unnoticeable lip around the plastic bezel of the Clique. This locks in your keyboard and trackpad so they don’t slip, slide, or fall out. You can even hold the whole setup upside down without either falling out.
In conclusion, the Clique combined with the Apple Keyboard and Trackpad makes for the perfect setup. This is especially a great purchase you are like me and particular about the two being together in a straight line.
You can purchase your Clique directly from Amazon for a great price of $26.99
Thanks for the review and for clarifying how sturdy it is.

What if you’re a lefty?

Hi David,
I don’t believe Henge Docks makes the Clique for lefties. You can always try to contact them to see if they have a special Clique for lefties that isn’t listed on their site.

After using the Clique Dock for Apple Magic Trackpad and Wireless Keyboard for about 2 months, within about 1 week all the rubber pads just fell off. Bad design with rubber pads just glued on. Still using product without rubber pads.

That’s too bad. I would try to contact Henge Docks and let them know what happened. Maybe they will send you a replacement or give you a refund.
